Ma'mal: Jurnal Laboratorium Syariah dan Hukum is an international peer-reviewed journal published by the Laboratorium Fakultas Syariah dan Hukum, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, Indonesia. Ma'mal: Jurnal Laboratorium Syariah dan Hukum is an open-access and interdisciplinary platform dedicated to examining the dynamic engagement of Islamic law (Sharia) with contemporary legal systems, social realities, and cultural contexts, particularly within the Malay-Nusantara world. The journal aims to foster critical and comparative scholarship that bridges classical Islamic legal thought with modern challenges in society, politics, economics, and ethics. By integrating analytical, historical, and empirical perspectives, Ma'mal seeks to advance scholarly understanding of how Sharia continues to shape and respond to the evolving conditions of Muslim communities in Southeast Asia and beyond. The journal also welcomes studies that explore the global relevance of Islamic legal traditions, thereby enriching comparative legal scholarship and promoting cross-cultural dialogue on the intersections of law, religion, and society..
