Plagiarisme Screening

The Journal of Victimology maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism and academic misconduct. To safeguard the original contributions of our authors and the integrity of the scholarly record, the Editorial Board implements a rigorous screening protocol for every submission.

Similarity Threshold and Screening Protocols

All submitted manuscripts are subjected to an automated similarity analysis using the Turnitin software prior to entering the formal peer-review stage. To be considered for publication, a manuscript must demonstrate a similarity index of below 20%.

The screening process is governed by the following stipulations:

1. Pre-submission Responsibility

Authors are strongly encouraged to conduct independent similarity check using professional plagiarism detection tools before submitting their work to the journal.

2. Threshold Compliance

Manusicrips exceeding the 20% similarity threshold will be subject to immediate return to revision or summary rejection, depending on the ature and extent of the overlap

3. Summary Rejection

Any manuscript with clear indications of plagiarism—including self-plagiarism or improper attribution—will be rejected immediately without being sent for peer review.

4. Ethical Commitment

By submitting to the Journal of Victimology, authors warrant that their work is entirely original. The Editorial Board is committed to identifying and preventing the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred. We emphasize that ensuring the originality of the content is the primary responsibility of the authors, and compliance with these standards is a prerequisite for academic evaluation.
