Plagiarism Policy

Azimuth: Journal of Islamic Astronomy is committed to maintaining academic integrity and applies a strict anti-plagiarism policy.

  • Plagiarism Check: All submitted manuscripts are screened using TURNITIN. The maximum similarity tolerance is 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission.

  • Definition: Any use of others’ work, ideas, or data without proper attribution—including self-plagiarism—is considered a violation.

  • Consequences: Manuscripts with significant plagiarism may be rejected, require major revision, or, if already published, will be retracted. Authors found in violation may also be subject to sanctions, including submission bans.

  • Commitment: The Journal upholds international publication ethics standards and expects authors to ensure originality and provide proper citations in their work.
